DESCRIPTION:Autocross is for everyone! Join us at Tire Rack Headquarters for a day of fun on their state of the art skid pad. \n\n\n\nTire Rack Headquarters – 7101 Vorden Pkwy\, South Bend\, IN 46628 \nWhat is Autocross – learn more here \nNeed help selecting vehicle class – Click Here \nPreregister\, and save! \n\nSCCA Members: $38 in advance\, $55 on-site.\nNon-SCCA Members: $55 in advance\, $65 on-site (includes weekend SCCA membership)\n\nRegistration questions: Contact SBR SCCA \nBecome a South Bend Region SCCA member and save Here \nTentative Schedule \n\nSite opens: 7:30 AM\nOn site Registration and Check in: 8:00-9:00 AM\nTech Inspection 8:00-9:15 AM\nNovice Meeting: 9:30 AM\nDriver’s Meeting: 10:00 AM\nFirst Car Off: 10:30 AM\n\nNo on site registrations or checkins after 9:00 AM \nLunch break will be 1/2 hour. Please plan accordingly and bring your lunch. \nEvent Details \n\nClasses will be broken into groups.\nGroups will alternate between on track/ racing and working assignments.\nWork assignments will be assigned at the driver’s meeting.\nTire warmups and dangerous driving onsite or near the site is prohibited.\nVerbal or physical threats will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave the site immediately.\nAlcohol and non-prescribed drugs are not allowed onsite.\nWe race\, rain or shine. Be prepared for all weather conditions.\n\nIn the event of dangerous weather conditions\, the event will be postponed or cancelled. \nRefunds are at the discretion of the SBR SCCA. \nSee the safety stewards if you need to report dangerous activity. \nPLEASE READ MINOR WAIVER STATEMENT IF YOU WILL BE BRINGING A MINOR TO THE EVENT. \n\n\n\nEvent requirements\n\n\n\nWhat you need: \n\nValid drivers license – You will need a current driver’s license to enter an SCCA Solo event. Bring it with you to check in and you’re good to go.\nVehicle in good working order – Although autocrossing doesn’t require the same safety gear that you might see in race cars\, you will need to make sure that your car (or kart) is in good shape with no loose/worn suspension parts\, your car battery is securely held in place\, your tires have no cord or metal showing\, your car’s brakes and seatbelts are in good shape and it has no big fluid leaks.\nHelmet* – Click here for approved helmets\nVehicle Identification** – registration number and class identifier on your car – more info here\n\n*There will be loaner helmets available on site\, but we can not guarantee that we will have enough for everyone. \n**Numbers and class letters must meet SCCA regulations. No numbers/letters on windows\, only on body side panels. Contrasting tape is allowed. All number and class letters must be visible to corner workers. \nTech Inspection \n\nAll vehicles must pass safety inspection prior to running: working seat belts\, throttle return action\, secure battery\,  driver’s floor mat removed\, no oil or antifreeze leaks\, adequate brake pedal and fluid\, adequate tire condition\, tie-rods\, and wheel bearings.\nHave vehicle identification on vehicle before bringing car to the tech inspection.\nBring helmet for inspection.\nAll loose items\, including any loose interior items\, snap-on hubcaps\, detachable fender skirts\, speaker boxes\, center caps\, and trim rings must be removed.\nClosed-toe shoes are required (no sandals or flip-flops) while driving.\n\nEvent Awards for top finishers \n\nNovice Class – competes against all other novices regardless of class using  2026 PAX/RTP index\nAll SCCA car classes entered\n\nEarn points for SBR Annual Championships\, awards given at annual banquet \n\nChampionships for all qualifying SCCA car classes and more\nNovice Class Championship – scored using 2026 PAX/RTP Index.\nQualifying: Championship awards are available to all SBR members who run in 4 or more events in the 2026 series.\n\nLive Timing and Class Leaders can be followed at https://livetiming.club/c/sbr \nMinor Statement \n\nA MINOR WAIVER from the SCCA National Office\, is required for any minor(12-18) in a hot area\, such as the grid\, course\, or riding as a passenger.
